Skin
- Facials only if you're already on a routine. Schedule 4 weeks prior if new, or 2 weeks prior if regular.
- Waxing, threading, sugaring, or dermaplaning should be scheduled at least 1 week prior.
- Arrive with freshly cleansed, lightly moisturized skin, including face and décolleté.
- A simple brow cleanup helps create a clean frame for makeup.
Hair
- Wash and fully dry the night before with no gel, mousse, heavy leave-ins, or oils.
- If you have curls or waves and will not be wearing them natural, hair must be blown smooth beforehand.
- Natural curls should arrive freshly washed, wet, and detangled.
- If needed, let me know. We may be able to add a blowout depending on timing.
- Clip-ins and halos must be 100% human hair, clean, dry, and detangled.
- Synthetic hair marketed as heat-style friendly can still melt or collapse with hot tools and will not hold or blend consistently. Testing with a curling iron when received is recommended.
Set-Up & Location
- Natural light near a window is preferred.
- Residential clients: My kit requires a wagon and weighs over 100 lbs. Carrying it upstairs is not an option. Please have a workspace available on the main floor and make sure your driveway has an adequate walkway so I can roll my wagon to the front door. If you are in a second or third floor apartment, I simply ask that you help me transport my kit up to your door.
- Please have a cleared workspace ready before my arrival. My kit is larger than it may appear in photos, so I will need adequate table space.
- Steaming should be completed before hair and makeup, or by someone who has not yet been styled.
- Food should remain separate from the glam area for sanitation and timeline flow.
- For resorts, please confirm which tower and elevator I should meet you at.
